Body Acne Treatment - Great Solutions towards Flawless Skin

Anyone can be afflicted with acne, whatever the age. It is especially common with teenagers because of a phase in life they all have to go through – puberty. If you get rid of pimples or acne, your problems are still have over. You still have the problem of getting rid of scars or blemishes left by this skin condition. Acne is a condition not only isolated on the face. These can appear on the rest of the body as well.

Acne can be caused by several factors. One of the most common factors that can lead to the development of acne is the secretions of the sebaceous glands. Sebaceous glands are responsible for secreting sebum or oil on the skin, keeping the skin lubricated and moist. An excessive production of oil, however, can lead to an outbreak of acne. This isn’t the only reason that can cause acne. It has been shown that if a person is under too much stress, emotionally or physically, these too can lead to acne formation. For women and teenagers, hormonal imbalances are the greatest culprit responsible for acne. Hormonal imbalances can lead to an overproduction of sebum on your skin. If you don’t observe good skin care, the dirt accumulated on your skin as well as the excess sebum will clog your pores resulting into acne formation.

Treatment depends on the type of acne you have. There are different types of acne like cystic or non-cystic. You should also remember that treatment of acne may take some time. Results cannot be seen overnight with acne treatments. If you want the inflammations and the red pigmentations to go away completely, you have to be willing to wait for that to happen, otherwise you will be disappointed. Coupled with acne treatment should be prevention of scar formation. Never pick at your acne because this habit will cause the formation of scars which can be pretty hard to remove later on.

As have been mentioned, acne is usually commonly associated with facial skin. However, acne can still develop on the rest of your body. In fact, body acne is one of the common types of acne being experienced by teenagers. There are times when body acne flare ups get worse such as during winter months. During the cold season, people usually sweat under warm clothing causing their pores to be plugged and precipitate the development of body acne. The most common places where body acne is commonly manifested are on the back and the chest.

Treating body acne doesn’t even have to be expensive or complicated. Simply observing proper hygiene will do. Regular bathing has been proven to prevent body acne breakouts. However, if you are already suffering from body acne, you can use cleansers containing salicylic acid. Alpha Hydroxy Acid has been very useful to many individuals afflicted with body acne. If you’re using body moisturizers, make sure to use one that contains Alpha Hydroxy Acid. While keeping your skin moistened, you’re also ridding yourself of body acne for good.
