The Right Hair Style for Your Type of Hair

If you want to have a haircut, try to consider your hair texture and type first. Make sure that the style that you will be having is manageable so that you can be glam everyday. Your face shape is an important factor to consider in choosing the hair style that will look good on you. Always remember though that it is not all about what’s in; what matters more is if the hair style that you have chosen will fit you.

Advisable Hair Styles for the Shape of Your Face:

Heart Shaped - Your haircut should be at a length that will frame your jaw. Do not go for blunt bangs and for choppy layers, if you will go for layers, make sure that the top part would be long and soft.
Oval - Do not go for short layers on top because this would just make your face appear longer. Aside from the given tip, anything would be good for your face type; it will just be dependent on your hair type and texture.
Round - To make your face look slimmer, try a haircut with graduated and soft layer. Try also something that will lessen the volume on sides. Make sure that your haircut is always below the chin. It would also be a good idea to add some layers on top to make your face look elongated.
Long - Go for curly bobs to balance your long face. Bangs up to your brows is also recommended to create a chimera of width. Try to avoid short haircuts because it will just make your face look longer; instead, go for layers or a chin length bob to create horizontal lines on your face.
Square - Go for long haircuts with curls at the end. If you choose to have your hair layered, make sure that it will start at the end of your jaw line. Try to avoid geometric lines on your face. This will help in making the square shape less noticeable; thus, the focus would be on your features.

What’s Good for Your Hair Type:

Straight - You should try bobs because this will fit you in any hair texture. If you prefer a long hair, try the layered ones but be sure that it would be tapered. For additional volumes, add layers at the end part (around 3 cm before edge.)
Curly - To reduce the volume of your hair, go for layers. You are lucky if the curls are easy to manage. Razor cuts are not recommended for you because it will add more frizz. You can also get your hair straightened for a different look.
Fine - To add volume and body, you should just have correct cutting and styling. Try to go for styles with minimal graduation like bobs, wedges and cuts, and remember to have your hair cut only up to shoulder length. Layers with short hairs on top will also make your hair look thicker, so try to have it sometime.
Coarse - Cut is very necessary to hide your hair thickness and volume. Razor cuts will do the job for you or if you want to, you could try a layered haircut. Just make sure that your goal is to lessen your hair’s volume and not to make it more bulky.
